John later became a lead technician at Fisher Research Laboratory where he specialized in repairing metal detectors used by professionals and hobbyists around the world. Outside of his profession, John was an avid Ham Radio Operator (KE6UCX), a passion he pursued when he was first licensed at 16 years old. Through the airwaves, he made countless contacts and formed lasting friendships throughout the region and beyond. Johns' life was deeply rooted in his faith. He held a strong and unwavering belief in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which guided him throughout his life and brought him peace and comfort until the very end. John is preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon J. Latronica Jr. of Bakersfield, and his brothers Louis J. Latronica of Morgan Hill, and James A. Latronica of Los Banos. He is survived by his beloved wife Lauren V. Latronica, sister Carmen Russo of San Jose, Ca, and four children, Melanie, Brandon, Evan and Jonelle. John also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Joel August, Ashley August, Johnny Latronica, Elias Latronica, Elliot Latronica, Janet Zaro and Roehm Gallichio, 2 great granddaughters, Gianna August, Jolene August, and one yet to be born grandson.
