Born January 24, 1933, in Washington, Indiana to Ralph and Esther Feagans, Elinor Yolande Liang, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025, in Spokane, Washington. While growing up, Elinor, was surrounded by love and friends that she stayed in contact with into old age. Her fondest memories were of riding her bicycle, roller skating and playing piano, which she continued to play throughout her life. In 1951, Elinor married Bill Murphy, best known by all who knew him, as "Murph". Together they had six children: Colleen, Michael, Eileen, Kelly, Daniel and Shawn. Elinor loved her family and her family life. She enjoyed traveling with her children to visit other family members, taking them horseback riding into the wilderness and many more excursions too numerous to count. She was proud of her role as both wife and mother. As Murph was an entrepreneur in the oil and gas business, they traveled extensively to states like Texas, Oklahoma, Wyoming, North Dakota, eventually settling down in Littleton (Columbine), Colorado. out Europe and experiencing several safaris in Zambia. In the early 1980's Elinor and Murph divorced. Elinor found new love with Mason Liang, of Formosa Tawain, who had six grown children of his own. Married in July of 1983, Elinor and Mason moved to Bel Air, MD where Mason co-owned a restaurant with his sister. Living together in a beautiful house they called the "Gazebo House", Elinor and Mason spent many happy hours celebrating each other's children and taking them on small adventures. In Bel Air, Elinor joined several women's clubs. She enjoyed luncheons with the Red Hat Society, crafting with her friends and traveling to coastal areas visiting family frequently. Elinor is survived by her children and their spouses: Colleen and Lyle Currier of Calhoun, GA; Mike and Val Murphy of Port St. Joe, Florida; Eileen and Joe Donohoue of Appleton, WI; Kelly and Tom Donohoue in Denver, CO; Dan and Vanessa Murphy of Bakersfield, CA; Shawn and Tia Murphy of Aiken, SC; 23 Grandchildren and 51 Great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Wednesday, June 11, 2025, 11:00 a.m.at Our Lady of Hope, 315 NE 3rd St., Washington, Indiana followed by the Interment at St. Johns Cemetery 929 W 140 N, also in Washington, Indiana.
