Robert Leroy Dryer

Robert Dryer, 96, passed away on February 5, 2025. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care (414 Lincoln Way, Ames, Iowa 50010) from 1-3:00 p.m. with a burial at Ames Municipal Cemetery to follow. Robert spent many years working for Lattimore Construction. He also owned and operated Dryer's Gems and Minerals, in Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ. He was an avid antique collector, specifically of Police Badges in honor of his son Mark. Left to cherish Robert's memory are his children: Sharon York (David) and Sallie Brantley; grandchildren: Christian York, Joshua York, Joel Brantley, Jasmin Cohen, 9 great-grandchildren, and his dear friend Vonda Rankin.
