Mercedes Ramirez de Palacios

Mercedes Ramirez de Palacios passed away on January 22, 2023 in Whittier, California at the age of 84. She was born in El Salvador and was a resident of Los Angeles, California. After high school she continued her education and became an elementary school teacher. Mercedes married her love Alberto Palacios on July 11, 1965. They started their life together and welcomed three children. She migrated to the US in 1980 due to war circumstances. She worked caring for the elderly as a CNA and finally graduating as an RN from Bryman college. She retired in 2001. She loved to dance, sing, cook and care for animals. She loved all species of animals particularly cats. Mercedes is survived by her husband, Alberto; children, Albert Palacios, Aleixa Palacios, and Sol Palacios; grandchildren, Darlene Smith, Cristal Palacios, Alexander Palacios, and Joshua Palacios; great grandchildren, Jac Conley and Ace Conley. She also left behind her cat, Nino. [more]
