Richard Theodore Peldo
Richard "Dick" Peldo of Bass Lake, Deerbrook, Wisconsin, passed away on November 3, 2021 at the age of 86. He was born in Emmetsburg, Iowa on October 9, 1935 and graduated from Cresco High School and the University of Iowa with a degree in Business. He was married to his wife, Jane, for 62 years.
Dick served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1961 and Naval Reserve from 1961 to 1968, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. After a long career in marketing for Wisconsin Bell, ATT and Ameritech, he retired to Bass Lake and Montgomery, Texas playing golf throughout the year and keeping close tabs on the stock market.
An avid sports fan, he loved his Iowa Hawkeyes and would cheer on the Badgers except when they played Iowa. Growing up in a small town in Iowa as an only child, he learned the value of knowing your neighbors and local business people. He was a member of Antigo Elks Lodge #662. He enjoyed his connections to people and if he knew you, he had given you an interesting nickname.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Peldo; three children, Lynne Hohlfeld, Krista Rodriguez and Jay Peldo; and five grandchildren, Joseph Hohlfeld, Margaret Hohlfeld, Andre...[more]

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Peldo.
A memorial service will be planned for a future date when safe to gather.
