Maureen Simper passed away on October 6, 2020 at the age of 86. Maureen was born on October 11, 1933 to Gladys Maria Smith and Jonathan Marion Daunt Hammon in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Maureen married James B. Simper on April 20, 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah.She loved the Gospel and attending church. She loved afternoon drives with her beloved husband and the ocean. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Maureen loved her life.She is survived by her sons: Samuel Simper, Alma Simper, Matthew Simper; daughters: Rebecca Valero and Roxanne Spragg.Maureen is preceded in death by her father Jonathan Marion Daunt Hammon, mother Gladys Maria Smith Hammon, grandson Ryan Michael Simper, husband James B. Simper.A public viewing will be held Friday, October 23, 2020 from 10:00-11:00am at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. A private family graveside will follow.
